MRI Tech Weekend Option - Fri-Sun - Days

Job Summary Under the supervision of the Department Manager, Radiology Director, MRI Team Leader and/or the radiologist(s), the MRI Technician performs a variety of procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative in utilization of MRI equipment to create high quality diagnostic images. The employee must also perform other department job duties, be familiar with basic patient care and MRI exam procedures for patients requiring anesthesia or conscious sedation, and adhere to the Radiology Weekend Option Policy regulating working hours and time off. Responsible for ensuring comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients seen in the MRI Department, assessing data reflective of patient status, and interpreting necessary information to identify each patient's age‑specific requirements. Education Required: Graduate of an ARRT approved radiologic technology program, or equivalent program. ARRT (R) Certified, or ARMRIT. Preferred: N/A. Experience Required: Medical and/or hospital clinical experience; Basic computer experience (1-2 years of work experience or college level classes); Prior experience in MRI or an intensive on‑the‑job training session in MRI is required before taking call. Preferred: Prior hospital and/or physician office background. Position Requirements Required: ARRT, or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance (ARMRIT) certified; compliant with all continuing education mandates; BLS completed prior to going to the unit/department and maintained going forward.
