Maintenance Manager

We are partnering with a well-established food manufacturing organization seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at a high-volume production facility. This individual will be responsible for driving equipment reliability, developing maintenance strategies, managing departmental budgets, and leading a team of maintenance professionals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight for all maintenance activities, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing downtime, improving equipment performance, and increasing overall operational efficiency. Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs through a CMMS system, including work order management, parts inventory, labor planning, and equipment history. Lead root cause analysis efforts and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment failures. Respond to critical equipment issues with urgency while prioritizing food safety, employee safety, and equipment reliability. Manage departmental budgets, monitor maintenance spending, and develop annual repair and capital improvement plans. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repair costs, and equipment performance metrics. Hire, develop, coach, and evaluate maintenance team members while creating training and succession planning initiatives. Partner closely with production and other cross-functional departments to ensure alignment on operational goals and maintenance priorities. Promote a culture of accountability, communication, safety, quality, and operational excellence. Ensure housekeeping, maintenance standards, and equipment reliability targets are consistently achieved. Ideal Background Proven maintenance leadership experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, plumbing, refrigeration, building systems, and industrial equipment maintenance. Experience implementing and managing CMMS-driven maintenance programs. Demonstrated success leading maintenance teams, driving performance, and developing technical talent. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and continuous improvement capabilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of organization and execution. Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems. Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred. Previous maintenance supervisory or management experience in food manufacturing highly preferred.
