Locum MD (Medical Doctor), DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Cardiology

This full-time, on-site position offers a significant opportunity for professionals at the associate level looking to contribute to a dynamic team dedicated to delivering comprehensive cardiology care.

As a Locum MD/DO in Cardiology, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular conditions, collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your expertise will be vital in managing patient care, conducting assessments, and implementing treatment plans that enhance patient health and well-being. Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients with cardiovascular conditions
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Perform diagnostic tests and interpret test results
Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver optimal patient care
Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records
Provide patient education on lifestyle changes and treatment options
Participate in clinical meetings and professional development activities
Stay current with the latest advancements in cardiology

Requirements

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Relevant residency training in Cardiology
Current medical license in the state of Florida
Strong clinical skills and a patient-centered approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to continuing education and professional growth
Experience in a cardiology practice or similar setting is preferred

Schedule: Monday-Friday

Optional STEMI call coverage, 1:5 or 1:6 rotation

Setting: 2-3 days per week in the cath lab, 1.5 days per week in the clinic

Current Annual Case Volume: 100 TAVRs, 30 MitraClips, and 50 WATCHMAN

Caseload: 90% clinical, 10% administrative

Team Structure: 1 other structural heart physician, 9 interventional cardiologists, 1 structural heart fellow, and 3 interventional cardiology fellows

Full clinical and subspecialty support

EMR: Epic

Must have academic experience

Must be board-certified
