Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Progressive Care Unit role requiring telemetry, ventilator, and complex wound care experience in a long-term acute care setting.
Details
- Long-term acute care nursing floor setting
- Progressive Care Unit specialty with tele/vent and complex wound patients
- Patient ratios of 1:4-5
- Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts totaling 36 hrs/week
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active GA or Compact RN license required in hand
- Minimum 18 months of relevant nursing experience required
- Experience with telemetry, ventilators, and complex wound care required
- Experience managing drips such as Norepinephrine and Dopamine required
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care for medically complex long-term acute care patients requiring telemetry and ventilator support
- Manage complex wound care and vasoactive drip medications
- Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates not accepted
- Former Emory or Houston permanent staff must be separated for at least 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
- Holiday coverage expectations apply with strict RTO limitations around holiday periods
