What You'll Do

As a Deli Shift Leader , you'll help oversee daily deli operations while ensuring food quality, safety, and an outstanding customer experience:

• Provide friendly , fast , and attentive customer service
• Prepare food according to Freshies® recipes and standards
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and ServSafe guidelines
• Receive deliveries and verify product quality and freshness
• Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and temperature logs
• Track spoilage, waste, and daily production
• Keep the deli clean, organized, and visually appealing
• Support and guide team members during shifts
• Assist with scheduling priorities and shift execution
• Monitor inventory and help order food and supplies
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and health regulations
• Maintain a safe and positive work environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous experience in food service, deli, or customer service preferred
• Leadership or supervisory experience is a plus
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Basic math and computer skills
• Reliable attendance and flexible availability (evenings, weekends, holidays)

Training & Certifications

• ServSafe Food Handler or Food Manager Certification (or willingness to obtain)
• On-the-job training provided
