Perform or delegate tasks as required to execute and fully complete assigned projects, including hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning, and project closeout. Maintain financial results of assigned projects, including costs, project billings, and collections, while ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability. Actively pursue selling change orders and coordinate communication with the customer during all phases of the project. Ensure proper execution of warranty and provide work direction to subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, designers, and administration as necessary. Ensure work performed complies with the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) and applicable Local, State, and Federal legal requirements, operating on the job with the highest ethics. Adhere to, and ensure Johnson Controls staff and subcontractors adhere to, all safety standards. Provide technical assistance and training to System Technicians, Electrical Installers, and System Designers; mentor and coach as required. Oversee subcontractor payment and billing processes and manage the selection, ordering, budget, and delivery schedule of materials via the web‑based tool process. Ensure installation is in accordance with Johnson Controls standards and project requirements, and manage the loading, device verification, and commissioning of all system controllers. Validate complete system functionality, resolve issues with subcontractors and others, and provide accurate project as‑built and commissioning documentation. Complete project billings in a timely and accurate format to the client, maintain profitability goals, and ensure positive cash flow through best business practices. Communicate the status of projects to management as required and provide monthly forecasts of revenue, costs, and gross margin. Send warranty letters to JCI customers upon substantial completion and ensure proper execution of warranty. Develop project plans, coordinate required resources, and ensure timely and cost‑effective installation and completion of assigned projects. Perform site‑specific training for owner/operator on the total system in full or with assistance; provide proper documentation and manuals for system operation. Develop and maintain viable long‑term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Attend job progress meetings as required and coordinate with Project Engineers on bundled jobs to deliver cost‑efficient solutions that exceed customer expectations. How you will do it Complete typical installation hardware design and software programming using established standards as required. Provide detailed information to communicate design and operation to customers, Johnson Controls staff, and subcontractors. Actively pursue additional work through change orders. Evaluate the contractual scope of work and the impact of client‑issued bulletins, field directives, and/or scheduling changes. Communicate both technical and business‑related issues with the clients. Manage the selection, ordering, budget, and delivery schedule of materials to be procured for the projects assigned via the web‑based tool process. Secure pricing and availability from outside vendors and suppliers, mechanical and electrical subcontractors, including scope, terms, and conditions; may request several bids as part of the pricing process. Oversee subcontractor payment and billing processes. Provide job site coordination for panel and field device physical locations; ensure installation is in accordance with Johnson Controls standards and project requirements. Manage and complete the loading, device verification, and commissioning of all system controllers as required. Validate complete system functionality and resolve issues with subcontractors and others to ensure proper operation. Provide accurate project as‑built and commissioning documentation. Manage costs, billings, and collections; complete project billings in a timely and accurate format to the client. Maintain profitability goals and positive cash flow through best business practices and continuous improvement metrics. Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical assistance to System Technicians, Electrical Installers, and System Designers. Ensure delegated tasks are done accurately, on time, billed, within budget, and within the scope of the contract. Effectively communicate the status of projects to management as required and provide monthly forecasts of revenue, costs, and gross margin. Send warranty letters to JCI customers upon substantial completion of the project and ensure proper execution of warranty. Develop project plans and coordinate the required resources to ensure timely and cost‑effective installation and completion of assigned projects. Perform site‑specific training for owner/operator on the total system in full or with assistance. Ensure owner/operator has been trained and provide proper documentation and manuals for system operation. Develop and maintain viable long‑term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants, and subcontractors. Attend job progress meetings as required and coordinate with Project Engineers on bundled jobs to deliver cost‑efficient solutions that exceed customer expectations. What we look for LSS I: Minimum of a technical Associate’s Degree with two years of field experience or four years of equivalent related field experience. Must have applicable HVAC, and/or systems design and commissioning experience. Must have appropriate licensing, certifications, and relevant hands‑on experience. Must demonstrate the ability to perform work independently. Strong personal computer skills. Knowledge of project accounting, costing principles, and contracting preferred. LSS II: All of the above with a minimum of a technical Associate’s Degree with four years of field experience or six years of equivalent related field experience in the industry. Hiring Salary Range $76,100–104,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
