Software Development Engineer II or III

: Position Overview: WebPros/cPanel is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer II or III (SDEII/III) with expertise in Angular development. In the role, you will take charge of designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality web applications using Angular and other front-end frameworks. The ideal candidate should possess expertise in front-end development, particularly with Angular, and demonstrate proficiency in fundamental areas like HTML, CSS, SCSS, TypeScript, JavaScript, object-oriented programming, Software design patterns, and other essential skills. This will be a contract position. This position can be remote within the US (excluding AZ, NJ, DE, and IL). Candidates in Houston, TX can work remotely, hybrid or in-office. Responsibilities: • Development: • Design, implement, and maintain responsive, user-friendly web applications using Angular and TypeScript. • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate design specifications into functional applications. • Ensure applications have high performance, reliability, and scalability. • Debug issues in Web applications. • Apply solid principles of object-oriented programming to create modular, maintainable, and scalable code. • Utilize common design patterns to address design challenges in Angular applications. • Proficient in using Reactive Extensions for JavaScript (RxJS) to handle asynchronous operations and events. • UI Component Library: • Demonstrate the ability to create, document, and maintain a reusable UI component library for Angular applications. • Ensure that UI components adhere to best practices for modularity and scalability. • Accessibility Standards: • Possess a deep understanding of accessibility standards, including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). • Implement accessible UI components to ensure inclusivity for users with diverse needs. • Performance Optimization: • Utilize tools for performance profiling and optimization to enhance the speed and responsiveness of Angular applications. • Analyze and optimize code for improved performance. • Coding and Testing: • Write clean, modular, and well-documented code following best practices. • Conduct thorough testing, and write unit tests, to ensure the quality of the developed software. • Ability to Work with Git: • Proficient in using Git for version control, including branching, merging, and resolving conflicts. Familiarity with Git workflows and best practices in collaborative development. • Collaboration: • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including backend developers, designers, and product managers, to deliver high-quality software solutions. • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers. • Problem Solving: • Analyze and troubleshoot issues reported by users or identified during testing. • Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks and other potential issues. • Agile Development: • Contribute to an Agile development environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. • Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changes and improvements in the development process. • Continuous Learning: • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. • Share knowledge within the team and mentor junior developers. Additional Qualifications: • 4+ years of experience in Software development. • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field. • Internationalization (i18n) and Localization experience. • Knowledge of security best practices in web development. • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. • Familiarity with upgrading Angular applications. • Familiarity with command line tools.

• Knowledge of cPanel and WHM Products.
