Work Involved:

• Assist Leading the Team – Direct and support employees throughout the shift, delegate tasks, and maintain a positive, productive work environment.
• Be a Utility Player – Step into critical front-of-house and kitchen roles as needed to keep operations running efficiently and ensure exceptional guest service.
• Communicate with Management – Report operational issues, inventory shortages, customer concerns, and employee performance to management.
• Complete Closing Procedures – Ensure all cleaning, stocking, equipment shutdown, cash reconciliation, and closing checklists are completed accurately.
• Coach & Hold Employees Accountable – Provide guidance, reinforce company policies, and address performance issues as they arise.
• Maintain Food Quality – Verify all food is prepared accurately, consistently, and meets quality and presentation standards.
• Provide Excellent Customer Service – Resolve customer concerns promptly and ensure every guest has a positive experience.
• Ensure Cleanliness & Food Safety – Maintain a clean, organized restaurant while enforcing all food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Manage Cash & POS – Balance registers, prepare deposits, and ensure all transactions are completed correctly.
• Lead by Example – Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic while setting the standard for the rest of the staff.

Founded in 1955, Villa Nova Pizzeria has been a cornerstone of the Stickney, IL community for over seven decades. What began as a small neighborhood pizzeria built on family recipes and hard work has grown into a local institution, while still holding tight to the traditions that made it special from day one.
From the beginning, Villa Nova has been about more than just pizza. It was created as a gathering place where families celebrate milestones, friends meet after games, and neighbors feel at home. Generations have grown up around our tables, making Villa Nova part of their own family traditions.
Our pizza is rooted in classic Chicago-style craftsmanship. We use time honored recipes, hand prepared dough, signature sauce, and high-quality ingredients to deliver the flavor that has kept customers coming back for decades. While we’ve evolved with the times, our commitment to consistency and quality has never changed.
In 2008, the Workman Family franchised the pizzeria in New Buffalo, Michigan, bringing the same iconic recipes, warm hospitality, and community first mindset to Southwest Michigan. The expansion carried forward the legacy of the original while building new traditions for families in the New Buffalo area.
As a family owned and operated restaurant, we believe in community first. Villa Nova proudly supports local schools, youth sports, and neighborhood initiatives. We don’t just serve the community, we’re part of it.
