Teacher Aide

Title: Teacher Aide Qualifications Effective communication and problem solving skills. Ability to problem solve in a fast paced work environment Ability to work collaboratively with staff in an educational setting. Regular and predictable attendance Qualified to be employed as a teacher aide per Civil Service and NYS Education Department guidelines. Ability to lift and maneuver children and general classroom supplies. Responsibilities Attend meetings as needed Follow directives (written, oral, electronic) General Teacher Aide assignments Support Students with Special Education services. 1:1 Student Support Assistive Technology Data Collection Feeding or assistance feeding General Clerical Assignments General Education classroom aide support General Student Assistance Lamination Lifting – Unassisted and assisted for school aged children with little ability to manipulate themselves. Sensory Breaks Test Accommodations Material modifications Personal Hygiene and/or toiletry Maintain Data Security as applicable. Maintain confidentiality with staff, student and family information Operate in a respectful, responsible manner Reports to: Building Level Administration Salary: As per the contract between Victor Central Schools and the CSEA Unit Starting rate of $16.00 (Negotiable based on experience) #J-18808-Ljbffr Victor Central School District
