This role includes opportunities in both outpatient and inpatient settings, providing essential healthcare services to a unique and underserved population in a secure environment. Schedule: This position requires a rotating schedule based on facility needs. Week One Coverage:SundayWednesdayThursday Week Two Coverage:MondayTuesdayFridaySaturday Shift Options May Include:7:00 AM – 7:30 PM7:00 PM – 7:30 AM5:30 AM – 6:00 PM1:00 PM – 9:30 PM Key Responsibilities: Provide direct patient care including assessments, vital signs, and health histories. Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations in accordance with policy. Perform venipuncture, IV starts, and specimen collection. Assist healthcare providers with exams and minor procedures. Respond to medical emergencies and perform triage as needed Monitor patient conditions and implement appropriate nursing interventions. Develop and update patient care plans. Document all patient care accurately in the electronic medical record system (BEMR). Maintain compliance with federal, state, and correctional healthcare standards. Ensure infection control, safety, and proper handling of medical equipment and supplies. Qualifications: Required:Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licence.BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).Graduate of an accredited nursing program.Ability to pass federal background screening. Preferred:Minimum 6 months of RN experience.Experience in correctional healthcare, acute care, or behavioral health.
