Quality Inspector

Quality InspectorEMP Industries, Inc. has an immediate opening for an experienced Full-time, first shift Quality Inspector. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing First Piece, In Process, and Final Inspection of precision machined components, while accurately completing all required quality documentation in a ISO9001/AS9100 certified environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform inspections according to documented procedures and inspection plansRecord inspection results clearly, accurately, and legiblyConduct mechanical measurements using micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparators, and CMM equipmentVerify that inspection equipment, tools, and machinery are properly calibrated per company policyRead and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and inspection criteriaPrepare and complete all inspection documentation, including First Article Inspection (FAI) reportsCollaborate with Production and Management teams to ensure timely communication of quality issues, drive corrective actions, and support continuous improvementIdentify, segregate, report and communicate non conforming productMaintain a clean, organized, and compliant work areaRequired QualificationsExperience inspecting machined parts using standard precision measuring tools, 3-5 years of experience preferredProficiency with micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparators, and CMMs.Ability to interpret engineering drawings and GD&TFamiliarity with ISO9001 and AS9100 quality standards; familiarity with AS9102 requirements preferredAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, team oriented environmentMust be authorized to work in the U.S.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for several hours per dayPC DMIS experience is a plusWhat We OfferCompetitive wages based on experience; $20-$27/hourCompany paid medical and life insurance for individualsRetirement plan with employer matched contributionsModern, clean, well equipped, air conditioned facilityEMP is dedicated to quality workmanship and to the excellent service of our customers.
