We are seeking an energetic, hands-on, experienced Facility Manager to oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and safety of our corporate facility in Melville, NY. This role ensures all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems operate efficiently.

The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, technical expertise in mechanical and electrical systems, and a proactive approach to facilities management.

Responsibilities include:

• Troubleshoot, repair, modify, overhaul or refurbish standard and special purpose equipment and systems.
• Responsible for performing preventative, diagnostic, and corrective maintenance on company equipment.
• Performs HVAC, plumbing, and electrical maintenance as needed.
• Coordinates vendors for maintenance when necessary and obtains approvals before requests are completed.
• Maintains on-site service logs/service books.
• Oversee repair procedures and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Performs labor related tasks on new construction and alterations in the building including framing, drywall, painting, plumbing, electrical.
• Physical relocation of office furniture & files throughout the building.
• Carpet cleaning using pressurized steam machine.
• Planning and coordinating building inspections as necessary
• Dealing with emergency situations that may arise
• Trains department staff to be proficient with new equipment, power tools, and specialty equipment used to perform daily tasks.
• Ensuring that the grounds are well maintained and presentable.
• Manage maintenance staff

Position Requirements:

• HVAC and refrigeration knowledge and experience
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• College degree required
• Minimum 7 years of experience maintaining a building and supervising staff
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Proficient in the use of snow removal equipment including safe operation of snowplow.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, ladder and high-lo experience.

Qualifications:

• College Degree required
• 7+ year experience in a facilities role managing staff
