Our beautiful community hosts 101 Assisted Living and 36 Memory Care apartments. Our residents enjoy worry-free living in a warm and friendly community with services to meet their individual needs. Managed by Ebenezer, Minnesota's largest senior living operator.This is a casual role! Help fill in for open shifts ahead of time and for last minute needs. Day, Evening, Night shiftsThis Resident Assistant/Caregiver position is responsible for providing personal care and designated health-related services to enhance and/or maintain the residents' physical and emotional wellbeing. Role will be provided in depth training to pass medications as this is part of their regular duties.ResponsibilitiesAssists residents with personal cares including but not limited to:Bathing/showeringFoot and fingernail careShavingDressingAssistance with use of hearing aids and/or glassesHair careFeedingToiletingEscorts1-2 person transfers and use of mechanical liftProvides health-related services as directed: Assists with treatments per individualized care plan under the direction of the Registered Nurse. (includes blood glucose monitoring)Administers medication or assists with this under the direction of the Registered Nurse (includes insulin injections). Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration under the direction of the Registered NursePerforms specified home services:Performs laundry service per schedule.Follows cleaning schedule for the shift worked.Delivers meal trays.Assists with meal service in dining room.Assists with preparing for and/or facilitating resident social and recreational activities as assigned and as requested.Observes tenants/residents and reports status to appropriate staff.Notifies appropriate staff of changes in physical and/or emotional conditions such as change in attitude or mood, loss of appetite, change in weight.Serves as a mandated reporter and reports any concerns regarding potential mistreatmentOffers pertinent observations and input.Responds appropriately to resident and building emergencies.Required QualificationsLess than 1 yearAbility to use technology in the form of computers, handheld devices, cell phones, and fax machinesIf under 18 must be on the MN NA registryPreferred Qualifications1-3 years experienceBenefit OverviewEbenezer offers a generous benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, PTO and Sick and Safe Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement, early access to earned wages, and more!
