Clinical Applications Engineer

Intuitive Surgical

Clinical Applications Engineer supporting early adoption of robotic minimally invasive surgery systems at new hospital sites. The role involves hands-on procedural support, physician training, and feedback collaboration with engineering teams across assigned geographic territories.

Responsibilities

Provide procedural support to new robotic system sites ensuring safety and effective adoption
Train physicians and clinical staff on equipment operation during clinical procedures
Identify user concerns and collaborate with training partners to address adoption barriers
Maintain communication with global engineering team and share best practices and product feedback
Stay current on product instructions, clinical literature, and technical troubleshooting guidance

Requirements

Minimum 2 years technical or clinical healthcare experience
Hospital navigation and procedure support experience required
Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering or healthcare-based field
Experience with complex technical systems or critical patient care settings
Self-directed problem solver comfortable in high-pressure environments
Ability to travel up to 70% and respond on short notice
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
