Port Royal Club, located in the heart of the prestigious Port Royal neighborhood in south Naples, Florida, is a private beach club dedicated to luxury, leisure, and exceptional service. Membership is exclusively tied to property ownership within the Port Royal community, making the Club a cornerstone of one of the most distinguished addresses in the country.

Our Club offers an array of world-class amenities, including a 10,000-square-foot fitness center featuring yoga, Pilates, and spin classes, as well as a serene spa for wellness and rejuvenation. The tennis center boasts nine Har-Tru clay courts and a 1,300-square-foot pro shop, catering to both recreational and competitive players.

Following the impact of Hurricane Ian in 2021, the Club has embarked on an ambitious $100 million renovation to reimagine our facilities. The new clubhouse—set to open in fall 2026—will embrace timeless West Indies architecture and offer an elevated member experience, featuring a coffee shop, three signature restaurants with indoor and outdoor dining overlooking the Gulf of Mexico, four bars, a banquet venue, a lap pool, and access to our pristine private beach.

The Banquet Chef is responsible for planning, preparing, and executing all culinary aspects of banquets, private events, and special functions at the Port Royal Club. This role ensures exceptional food quality, presentation, and timing while maintaining the highest standards of safety and sanitation. The Banquet Chef collaborates closely with the Executive Chef and event teams to deliver a seamless dining experience that reflects the club’s commitment to excellence.

Position Summary

The Server Assistant plays a vital supporting role in delivering an exceptional dining experience within a luxury private club environment. This position ensures seamless service by assisting servers, expediting food and beverage delivery, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentation in all dining areas.

The Server Assistant is expected to anticipate member needs, support the service team with efficiency and professionalism, and contribute to a refined and welcoming atmosphere.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Support of Service Team

• Assist servers in all aspects of service to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience.
• Maintain constant communication with servers regarding table status, timing, and member needs.
• Support the team with table maintenance, clearing, and resetting in a timely and polished manner.
• Uphold all service standards consistent with a luxury private club environment.

Food Running

• Deliver food from the kitchen to the dining room promptly and accurately.
• Ensure all plates are presented correctly, clean, and aligned with club standards before delivery.
• Announce dishes when serving and place them correctly according to proper service etiquette.
• Communicate with the culinary team and servers to ensure proper timing and accuracy of orders.

Beverage Running

• Assist with delivering beverages, including water, soft drinks, coffee, and bar beverages as directed.
• Ensure beverages are presented neatly and served with appropriate garnishes and accompaniments.
• Maintain water service standards by refilling glasses promptly and discreetly.

Dining Room Presentation & Maintenance

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all dining areas, including tables, service stations, and pathways.
• Clear and reset tables efficiently while maintaining a polished and unobtrusive presence.
• Ensure all service stations are fully stocked and organized throughout service.
• Assist with opening and closing side work duties.

Member Interaction

• Provide courteous, professional, and respectful interactions with members and their guests.
• Respond promptly to member requests or communicate needs to the appropriate server.
• Maintain a friendly yet discreet presence, respecting the privacy and expectations of members.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
• Assist with special events, private dining functions, and club events as needed.
• Support a team-oriented environment focused on delivering exceptional hospitality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry trays, plates, and equipment (up to approximately 30–40 lbs).
