Key Responsibilities of the Sterile Processing Technician

• Effectively sterilize and prepare surgical instruments for daily procedures.
• Ensure adherence to infection control standards and protocols.
• Manage and operate autoclaves and other sterilization equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and inventory management.
• Collaborate with surgical staff to ensure availability and readiness of instruments.

Requirements of the Sterile Processing Technician

• BLS (AHA) certification
• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) via HSPA
• Relevant experience in a similar role
