Engineering Project CoordinatorThe Engineering Project Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring customer orders move efficiently through engineering, procurement, and manufacturing. This position translates sales orders into actionable engineering tasks, tracks deliverables, maintains full order visibility, and provides timely, accurate updates to internal teams and customers.Customer Order Processing & ValidationReview and organize sales order documents for engineering reference.Resolve missing or unclear order information with Sales team.Assign order numbers, engineering tasks, and associated timelines.Order Tracking & Lifecycle ManagementMaintain real-time visibility of order status to support accurate reporting.Identify and escalate delays to ensure timely resolution.Maintain all order-related documents, submittals, and approvals.Engineering Deliverable CoordinationCoordinate engineering activities tied to customer orders.Track drawing releases, BOM updates, ECNs/CCFs, and technical clarifications.Verify engineering outputs meet customer requirements and internal standards.Customer & Internal Communication SupportAssist in preparing order status summaries for customers.Coordinate engineering responses to customer questions, clarifications, and change requests.Change, Issue, & Exception ManagementLog and track customer-initiated changes (scope, configuration, specifications).Coordinate impact assessments with engineering, procurement, and scheduling.Ensure all changes are documented, approved, and reflected in order records.Operational & Administrative SupportMaintain dashboards, trackers, and engineering queues.Support ERP/MRP updates related to engineering deliverables.Organize order folders, spreadsheets, SharePoint sites, and documentation repositories.Assist with order closeout and archiving engineering deliverables.Position Requirements (knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform satisfactorily in the position):Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.2–5 years of experience in order management, project coordination, or manufacturing operations.Strong understanding of engineering documentation, BOMs, drawings, and change processes.Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Epicor, etc.).Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Teams, Outlook, and order-tracking tools.Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.Ability to manage high order volume with accuracy and urgency.Preferred QualificationsExperience in engineered-to-order (ETO), configure-to-order (CTO), or manufacturing environments.Familiarity with AutoCAD or engineering design workflows.Experience with engineering change management (ECN/ECO/CCF).Experience working with Document Control or EDMS systems.Physical Demands:Standing under 1/3 of time.Walking 1/3 of time.Sitting 1/3 of time.Talking 1/3 of time.Keyboarding under 1/3 of time.Close, distance, and color vision under 2/3 of time.Working outdoors under 1/3 of time.Reading and interpreting instructions over 2/3 of time.English and grammar usage skills over 2/3 of time.Repetitive motion under 1/3 of time.Meiden America Switchgear, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, pregnancy or conditions related to pregnancy, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.
