Janitorial Worker (Altoona) - Grade 10

Penn State is searching for a full time Janitorial Worker (Altoona) - Grade 10 to join the team. Duties include:

• Collect waste from work area; wash chalkboard; gather dirty erasers and supply clean erasers
• Dust, dust mop floors, wet mop floors, spot clean and vacuum rugs, runners, etc.; Rotate runners and clean stairways
• Wash glass, mirrors, light fixtures, wainscoting, railings, toilet fixtures, etc.; Clean restrooms and stock dispensers. Wash and polish furniture, brass, etc.
• Maintain equipment and materials used to perform work in a clean and orderly condition
• Lock doors; close and lock windows, and turn out lights. Report needed repairs to supervisor

Job Requirements: Requires the use of simple writing, adding, subtracting, whole numbers and the carrying out of instructions; and the use of fixed gauges and direct reading instruments and devices in which interpretation is not required. Up to and including 3 months effective experience.

Work Schedule: 5:00 p.m. - 1:30 a.m.

Days Off: Saturday, Sunday

Minimum Work Experience: Up to 3 months of effective experience
