Social Services–Recreation Therapist (PRN Temporary) The Recreational Therapist is responsible for developing treatment plans, implementing and evaluating recreational therapy interventions, and ensuring safe and appropriate therapeutic services. Schedule Variable shifts (discuss in interview) 8:30am–5:00pm shift includes weekends on BHU as needed Required Skills Provide safe and appropriate specialized programs Assess patients, develop and implement treatment programs to meet service goals and patient needs Establish treatment goals Evaluate therapy results and modify treatment plans accordingly Develop discharge plans in collaboration with patient, family, and treatment team members Participate as an active member of the treatment team Participate in the department and service delivery unit’s quality improvement programs Evaluate and assist in procurement of needed resources May assist in orientation, supervision and professional development of new staff and students Minimum Work Experience 1 year of related experience (preferred) Minimum Education Bachelor’s Degree with Concentration in Recreational Therapy Other degrees may be considered, including Art, Music, Dance, or Physical Education Current certification from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation (NCRTC), preferred Benefits & Work‑Life Comprehensive benefits and work‑life programs to support your future and daily needs.
