Escrow Specialist (Mortgage Servicing)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a well-established financial services organization seeking a detail-oriented professional to support the administration of escrow (impound) accounts. This role is ideal for candidates with experience handling property taxes, homeowners insurance, and escrow account maintenance—not real estate closings. This is fully onsite, Monday-Friday 7am-4pm and is paying up to 25/hr.

Responsibilities

• Manage mortgage escrow (impound) accounts to ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Review, update, and maintain property tax and homeowners insurance information.
• Process tax and insurance payments while ensuring compliance with company and investor guidelines.
• Research and resolve escrow discrepancies, shortages, surpluses, and payment issues.
• Communicate with taxing authorities, insurance carriers, borrowers, and internal departments to obtain and verify account information.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the mortgage servicing system.
• Assist with escrow analyses and account maintenance activities.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately while meeting productivity and quality standards.
• Perform additional mortgage servicing duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous mortgage servicing experience is required.
• Experience managing escrow (impound) accounts, property taxes, or homeowners insurance.
• Experience processing escrow transactions or maintaining tax and insurance records.
• Strong data entry and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
