Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Location

Omaha, NE

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Shifts: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM / 6:30 PM–7:00 AM | Every other weekend required | Every third holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Progressive Care/PCU setting serving adult and geriatric populations with diagnoses including cardiac conditions, nephrology, stroke, diabetes, and continuous EEG monitoring
• Titrate drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications per protocol
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4–5 in a 35-bed unit with support from patient care technicians
• Collaborate with charge nurses and interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes
• Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed
• Apply critical thinking and strong communication skills in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• Artificial nails are prohibited; compliance with facility fingernail policy is required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a PCU, stepdown, or intermediate care setting
• Experience with drip titration and cardiac monitoring
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment
