Critical Care/Trauma Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant for locum coverage in a Level I trauma hospital setting. This opportunity offers day shift coverage in a high-acuity trauma environment with a collaborative surgical team.
Assignment Details
Start: July 2026 Ongoing trauma surgery coverage Day shifts only
Schedule
11-hour shifts 7:00 AM 6:00 PM No call No block scheduling
Practice Setting
Acute care hospital Adult trauma-focused service Epic EMR
Work Details
Trauma surgery coverage Participation in trauma transfers from outside facilities Adult trauma cases with occasional pediatric patients Burns transferred out to specialty centers
Patient Volume
Approximately patients/day
Requirements
Physician Assistant required Trauma Surgery experience required South Carolina license preferred ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ATLS required Clean background required
Credentialing
60 days with active SC license days without license All orientation hours billable
