Job Summary
Emergency Room Nurse in the ER department at the facility. This position involves providing high-quality emergency care to a diverse patient population, including trauma, STEMI, and stroke patients. The role requires adherence to clinical standards and collaborating with ED physicians and mid-level providers.

Job Details

• Certifications Required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC valid certifications are mandatory.
• Education & Experience: 2 years of emergency room experience required; active MI license in hand.
• Location Requirements: Must be currently licensed to practice in Michigan.
• Schedule: Evenings, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information:
  • ER handles an average of 40-60 patients daily with variable diagnoses, including traumas, strokes, STEMI, and other emergency conditions.
  • Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:3-4 during daytime hours and fewer at night.
  • The clinical environment includes triage areas, trauma bays, monitor stations, and an array of medical equipment such as X-ray and CT access.
  • The department operates with in-house 24/7 emergency physicians and support staff, including RN, CNA, EMTs, paramedics, and phlebotomists.
  • Orientation includes computer-based training, departmental policies review, and two days of floor orientation.
  • Must have experience with variable drips and emergency procedures, and be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Submission must note if the clinician has previously worked for Marshfield, with an end date at least six months prior to submission.
