Job Title: Shipping Associate
Job Description

The Shipping Associate will play a vital role in supporting the logistics and operations of a prominent manufacturer of electrical connectors used for drilling oil and gas wells. This position is a 4-month contract, with the potential for extension based on performance, to cover a medical leave. The role involves working closely with the customer service team to ensure accurate packaging and shipping of products.

Responsibilities

• Meet with the customer service team each morning to review in-stock parts using spreadsheets.
• Pull parts from spreadsheets and package them in individual boxes.
• Provide weight and dimensions for each part using a scale and tape measure.
• Focus exclusively on shipping products, as receiving responsibilities are handled by a different associate.
• Stand for 8 hours a day, collaborating with a team of three other shipping associates.
• Assist with cable cutting and delivering them to various production cells.
• Lift boxes weighing up to 100 lbs onto pallet jacks and carts.
• Operate a sit-down forklift to transport cables to measuring machines.
• Pull cables off a rail, coil them, and secure with tape to prevent unraveling.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• Experience with SAP, shipping, and forklift operation.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with computers and familiarity with SAP or Excel.
• Comfortable with standing for 8 hours a day and lifting boxes up to 75 lbs.
• Team player with a positive attitude and good communication skills.

• Must be a US Citizen due to government contract work.
• Must pass a 7-year background check and a 5-panel drug test.
• Willingness to commit to the assignment for a minimum of 6 months, with potential for full-time conversion.
• Ability to verify serial numbers and track orders accurately.

Work Environment

The role requires wearing steel-toed boots for safety. While the pace can be busy at times, it is generally steady, ensuring a balanced work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of SANTA ROSA, CA.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
