Job Details Job Title: Direct Support Professional – Costa Mesa (500 SIGN‑ON BONUS) Hourly Rate: $18.00–20.00/hr. Shifts: Mon‑Fri 8am‑4pm Job Status: Full‑Time Work Location: Costa Mesa, CA NOTE: Must be available for new hire orientation in person Monday & Wednesday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. in Santa Ana, CA. Responsibilities Here’s What You’ll Do: Assist adults with physical and developmental disabilities in daily lives, including dietary, hygiene, bathing, grooming, dressing, restroom, and other activities of daily living (ADLs). Essential Functions Outline and prepare daily routine(s) for clients (visual and active) as written in the Individual Program Plan. Support the needs and goals of each resident by participating in the development of IPP/ISP goals. Maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment for the clients. Support the needs and goals of each resident by taking them to visit family and friends, to preferred leisure/recreation activities, and encouraging them to socialize among peers. Assist clients with personal care such as grooming, bathroom needs, changing clients' undergarments and/or clothing if needed. Prepare daily meals and assist with clean‑up. May need to transport clients in a personal vehicle and be reimbursed for mileage. Report any incidents or problems and communicate daily with administrators. Perform other duties assigned. Education and Experience 1 year experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities, crisis management, behavior management, and ABA. High School Diploma or GED. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have a California Driver’s License. Candidates must successfully pass all pre‑employment requirements, including a background check. CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) – preferred or willing to obtain within the first 6 months of hire. Must have First Aid/CPR certification. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
