Our client is a well-established and growing CCBHC looking for a Part-Time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for their clinics in the New York, NY area . This is a part-time position, 3 days a week, 100% on-site, Harlem area. Preferred Qualifications
- Experience treating children that are ages 8 and under.
- Master's degree in nursing from an accredited nurse practitioner program is required.
- Currently licensed in New York State as an Independent Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. (3600 hours complete)
- Active DEA Number (NYS)
- Currently enrolled in NY Medicaid and Medicare.
- Provide advanced psychiatric nursing care as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, under the supervision of a psychiatrist (if required due to state collaborative practice agreement guidelines).
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations for children ages 8 and under, including psychosocial, developmental, and trauma histories.
- Diagnose mental health conditions using DSM-5 criteria and support the development of individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
- Provide crisis assessment, risk assessment, and intervention when clinically indicated.
- Apply trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices when working with children, adolescents, and families.
- Prescribe, monitor, and adjust psychiatric medications while assessing therapeutic response and side effects.
