Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist - $3,220 per week

Job Summary TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13‑week travel assignment in Kansas City, Kansas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 10 hours, day shift Employment Type: Travel We are looking for an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Kansas City, KS. The right candidate should have at least 1 year of recent acute care experience. Responsibilities As an IR Tech, you will be responsible for operating fluoroscopic equipment and assisting physicians with minimally invasive, image‑guided procedures. You will prepare patients, observe them during the procedure, and report abnormal activity. Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain procedures to patients, providing reassurance and support as required. Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures. Monitor patient during all procedures. Apply radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to maintain safeguards for patients and operators. Demonstrate knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to IR procedures to interpret examination requests accurately. Operate intravenous and dye injector pumps. Maintain accurate patient records. Use the McKesson PACS system. Qualifications Must have at least 1 year of experience. Required certifications and skills include: BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification; state‑specific licensing as required. Vascular Interventional certificate preferred. Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods, and to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty. Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Additional certifications may be required before beginning assignment. ARRT (VI), BLS, and 3 years of experience are also required. Job ID #1459443.
