Security Officer DoD Secret Clearance

Position Summary Security Officer - Cleared (Clearance Required – Unarmed) with a DoD SECRET clearance located at a government site in Clifton, NJ. Temporarily available positions with weekly shifts Monday‑Friday 7am‑3:30pm. Starting pay $25.00 per hour. Responsibilities Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information with professionalism Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information Greet guests and employees and escort visitors and contractors to secure entry and exit points Follow site‑specific performance manuals and post orders; report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and oral communication to client and/or other security personnel Respond to and assess security alarms or emergency alarms Act as a first responder in emergency situations Qualifications (MUST HAVE) High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience Department of Defense (DoD) position appropriate level security clearance Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment Must possess one or more of the following: Minimum of three (3) years of security experience on a Department of Defense‑cleared site Prior military experience Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills Exceptional customer service skills Intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites Preferred Qualifications (Nice to have) Prior law enforcement or armed security experience Associate’s degree or higher in Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field Why Join Us Smart Tools: Access to exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities Financial Benefits: Participate in the retirement savings plan Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through the Perks Program Equal Opportunity Statement Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
