Senior Employment Counsel

Senior Employment Counsel – San Diego, California (hybrid position, licensed in CA, Bay Area or San Diego). Our client, a global technology company known for innovation and a dynamic workplace culture, is seeking a Senior Employment Counsel to provide practical, business‑focused employment law guidance across the organization. This role covers litigation, employee relations, discrimination and harassment claims, California wage and hour issues, and partners directly with HR and business leaders. It is an excellent opportunity for a law‑firm attorney to move in‑house or for an experienced employment counsel to broaden exposure and make meaningful impact within a sophisticated legal team. Responsibilities Advise the team on all employment legal matters in assigned business unit(s), covering the entirety of the employment lifecycle from recruiting to separation Serve as strategic legal partner for assigned centralized subject matters Represent Intuit in employment claims, managing outside litigation counsel as needed Support and/or lead special projects and initiatives as needs arise Deliver clear, practical, and business‑oriented advice to enable smart risk‑taking Partner closely with Employment Legal team members to drive consistency, share expertise, and deliver coordinated support across client groups Build strong cross‑functional partnerships and influence senior stakeholders Use AI responsibly and proficiently to accelerate work and scale Legal services Qualifications Significant experience advising on complex global workforce issues In‑house experience preferred Strong employment litigation background Comfort using generative AI tools and a willingness to adopt and champion responsible AI practices within the Legal function Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others in a team environment Ability to serve as a strategic advisor and influence successful outcomes with minimal supervision Excellent in‑house judgment and ability to balance legal risk with business objectives Clear and concise communicator, with experience interfacing with senior executives JD and active bar membership (California preferred) Strong personal ethical code and integrity; deep respect for privacy and confidentiality Expected salary for this exempt role is $223,000 – $302,000, commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors. #J-18808-Ljbffr Tru Staffing Inc
