As an Attorney I or Attorney II, you will perform the following duties:Case Analysis: Review taxpayer petitions and complete case files—such as returns, notices, ledgers, audit reports, and Board of Appeals decisions—to complete a full analysis of each caseGuidance Drafting: Make well-reasoned recommendations to the Board regarding the proper resolution of tax appeals based on your analysisCollaborative Communication: Request additional information from taxpayers and meet with taxpayers, their representatives, or Department of Revenue Counsel to discuss issues and evidence, when neededProfessional Development: This position also provides continuing legal educationWork Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.Free parking.Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to two days per week.
