This full-time, salaried position is uniquely crafted as a comprehensive career developmentpathway, preparing you to excel as a District Sales Manager (DSM) within our innovative team uponcompletion.Basic Job Functions:In this developmental role, you will be empowered to gain a deep understanding of all aspects of ourmetal building systems, our business model, and all the skills necessary to be a successful District SalesManager.Hands-on Learning: Attend monthly workshops covering various topics with other DDSMs from aroundthe country. This role requires monthly travel.Self-Study: Demonstrate initiative and dedication to learning by utilizing the vast number of materials tofamiliarize yourself with sales strategies, structural design, profitability and more.Department Rotations: Sales at NBG is a team effort. Spend time in each department to learn whatour products are, how they are made, who makes them, and who they’re made for. Witness thecomplete process from conception to finished product first-hand.Mentoring and Shadowing: When training to become a DSM, there might be no one better to spendtime with than the DSMs themselves. Travel to builders, converse with, and learn from the teammatescurrently covering sales territories.Upon completion of the approximate 12-month DDSM program, this job requires commitment torelocate into an assigned sales territory, have a valid driver's license and provide proof ofinsurance. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma.Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office.Previous direct experience in a sales or customer service-related function.Commitment to pursue path as a District Sales Manager.Ability to travel regularly to attend workshops and territory shadowing.Valid Driver’s License and Proof of Insurance.Willingness to relocate to an assigned sales territory upon completion of the program.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, or Construction.Experience in a construction environment, metal buildings preferred.Public speaking classes and/or experience.Ability to interpret drawings and specificationsKnowledge of competitive sales strategies, building systems proposals, construction materials and methods.About Us:Welcome to Nucor, where our unique culture sets us apart.
