Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
The RN ER provides comprehensive emergency nursing care in a fast-paced environment, responding effectively to urgent patient needs and critical situations. The role involves assessing patient conditions, administering treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' clinical conditions promptly, recognizing and prioritizing urgent situations for immediate action.
• Initiate appropriate emergency measures in the absence of a physician, utilizing advanced clinical judgment.
• Operate and monitor emergency care equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and pulse oximeters.
• Administer prescribed therapies such as medications, IV treatments, respiratory therapy, and mechanical ventilation.
• Document patient observations, nursing interventions, and therapeutic measures accurately, ensuring seamless communication among care teams.
• Maintain safety standards by managing supplies, equipment, and the overall environment of the emergency unit.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with a minimum of 2 years of emergency room experience.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (mandatory).
• Demonstrate strong vent management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure setting.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to float to MS or ICU units as required and adapt to changing priorities.
