Benefits: 401(k) Free food & snacks Health insurance Paid time off Job Description The Medical Assistant is responsible for escorting patients to the exam room and assisting with preparation to see the medical provider. Takes vitals and patient's demographic and social history. Handles patient's accounts, medical records and scheduling in the EHR system. Responsible for prior authorizations and referrals. Requirements More than one year of related experience Excellent communication and customer service skills/ interpersonal and telephone communication skills Strong ethical and moral character references / Compassion and passion to help others Cooperative and positive work attitude / Ability to promote a professional and friendly clinic image Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT coding Computer knowledge, experience with EHR / experience with Athena Health EHR system highly desirable Spanish highly desirable Job Type: Full-time Salary: $18 to $20/hour, plus up to $600 quarterly Bonus, Health Insurance and 401K, Annual $500 Retention Bonus. #J-18808-Ljbffr MS & Neuromuscular Center Of Excell
