Mammography Technician

Location: New York, NY
Duration: 9 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift – 5 × 8-hour shifts
Shift Time: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Compensation

• Travel: $2,400–$2,500 Gross Per Week, based on experience
• Local: $60–$64 per hour, based on experience

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technician for a 9-week contract opportunity in New York, NY . The ideal candidate will have strong experience performing screening and diagnostic mammography while maintaining high standards for image quality, patient care, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography examinations.
• Demonstrate competency in mammography positioning, compression, and appropriate technique factors.
• Ensure all radiographic images are accurately labeled according to departmental procedures.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and acceptability.
• Ensure completed images are transmitted to the appropriate PACS system in a timely manner.
• Accurately complete documentation and required study information in the department's imaging system.
• Maintain accurate patient tracking and examination records.
• Follow established departmental procedures, quality standards, and patient-safety protocols.
• Maintain compliance with applicable mammography regulations and quality-assurance requirements.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid New York State License in Diagnostic Radiography .
• Must be ARRT registered .
• Must meet and maintain all applicable MQSA requirements .
• Previous mammography experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care.
