Position Details Department: Ath Outdoor Facility Oper - 271200 Career Area: Athletics Posting Open Date: 05/19/2026 Application Deadline: 06/10/2026 Position Type: Temporary Staff (SHRA) Position Title: Kenan Stadium Maintenance Mechanic Position Number: 20072930 Vacancy ID: S027469 Full-time/Part-time: Full-Time Temporary Hours per week: 40 Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Night and Evening work as required Position Location: North Carolina, US Hiring Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour Proposed Start Date: 06/02/2026 Estimated Duration of Appointment: 6 months not to exceed 11 months Position Summary Perform general maintenance such as changing lights, painting, hanging pictures, building furniture, etc. Prepare event spaces and venues for outside and internal athletic events, including the relocation of furniture, fixtures, lights and AV equipment. Make necessary electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs within assigned work zones. Track and maintain inventory of supplies to include housekeeping supplies, maintenance items and tools. All other duties as assigned. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Some positions may require special licenses or certification. Optional Experience in the trade(s) areas related to the area of assignment may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
