Urology Opportunity at WVU Medicine

West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Urology seek an Endourology and Robotic Surgerytrained Urologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Bridgeport, WV, and Morgantown, WV.

Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Endourology and Robotic Surgery, including the management of stone disease (ureteroscopy, percutaneous nephrolithotomy, and laser lithotripsy), benign prostatic hyperplasia interventions, and advanced minimally invasive, laparoscopic, and robotic-assisted procedures. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.

Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed a Urology residency program, as well as an Endourology and/or Robotics fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in Urology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

The Department of Urology at WVU Medicine offers a robust surgical practice supported by contemporary technology and a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. As part of the state's only comprehensive academic health sciences center, the successful candidate will help expand access to specialized stone, BPH, and minimally invasive surgical care for patients across West Virginia and the surrounding region, while contributing to resident and fellow education.

The Health System operates West Virginia's first and only multi-organ transplant center and a 150-bed Children's Hospital.
