Job Title

Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital setting at a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Independently perform sterile vaginal exams and triage assessments without supervision
• Monitor and assess laboring patients, documenting care accurately using electronic health record systems
• Float to Mother Baby unit as needed to support unit staffing requirements
• Participate in weekend staffing, with the expectation of working beyond every-other weekend to meet unit needs
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered California RN license (must be in hand prior to start)
• Minimum of 1.5 years of Labor and Delivery experience; candidates with at least 1 year will be considered based on overall experience
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (hard stop requirement)
• Current ACLS, BLS/BCLS, and NRP certifications
• Demonstrated ability to independently perform sterile vaginal exams and triage (hard stop requirement)
• Epic EMR experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2 or more years of Labor and Delivery clinical experience
• Familiarity with Meditech charting systems
• Experience floating to Mother Baby or similar postpartum units
