Internship Details Electronic Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and testing various electronic drives, controllers and PC boards. Learning Objectives Solder/Desolder electronic through‑hole components Solder/Desolder electronic surface‑mount components Repair electronic drives, controllers and PC boards Troubleshoot and test electronic components to board level, using various methods and testing equipment Repair and/or replace electronic components to board level, including but not limited to: diodes, transistors, resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and other printed circuit components Verify repairs using start‑up testing procedures May also include various other department projects Weekly Guideline Week1 – Solder / Desolder training Week1 – Solder / Desolder SMT training Week2 – Huntron Tracker / Oscilloscope / Multimeter training Weeks3-4 – Power supply repair Weeks5-6 – Component level repair Weeks7-8 – DC drive repair Weeks9-10 – Low Horsepower AC drive repair Equal Opportunity Employer, including disability and protected veteran status.
