Overview Job Title: Assistant Property Manager, Multifamily Uptown Lake Apartments Website: Summary: The Assistant Property Manager is responsible for maintaining communities to a market-ready standard, ensuring a high level of service at all times. They are also responsible for building and motivating high-performing teams to maximize property performance. Responsibilities Ensure the smooth running of the community in a fast-paced environment. Assist the Property Manager with overall operations including maintenance, capital improvements, lease administration, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, collections, evictions, vacancy anticipation, marketing, lease renewals, service contracts, expense control, and audits. Provide superior customer service and communication to residents and prospects to enhance satisfaction, renewals, revenue, reputation, and profitability. Complete lease and renewal paperwork to meet company standards. Track and evaluate advertising and all client traffic. Support the on-site team while modeling Cushman & Wakefield’s mission to be the best national management company. Assist the Property Manager with day-to-day operations of the on-site team, ensuring policies and procedures are followed. Maintain effective on-site staff through interviewing, hiring, and coaching as needed. Maintain residents’ files in accordance with company standards. Foster a positive living environment through prompt conflict resolution and follow-up. Manage and maintain all aspects of the community budget and finances. Work with leasing staff to achieve leasing and marketing goals. Competencies and Skills Effective communication and customer service skills. Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite and internet navigation. General office, bookkeeping, and sales skills with excellent oral and written communication. Ability to determine leasing opportunities, set goals, and improve staff performance. Supervise day-to-day operations and ensure policy compliance. Capability to manage a team and work with leasing staff toward goals. Education Bachelor’s Degree preferred High School Diploma, GED, Technical or Vocational school required Experience 3+ years of Property Management experience 1+ year of Management experience Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. Regularly uses standard office equipment. Travel between properties in varying weather conditions is expected. Physical Demands May stand and walk for extended periods. Must be able to ascend/descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools. May travel between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions. May operate at a desk for extended periods. Ability to travel up to 15% of the time. May lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently. Other Duties This job description is not exhaustive.
