Sr. Accountant

Senior AccountantThe Senior Accountant will take ownership of core accounting processes while partnering closely with plant operations and finance leadership. This role offers a strong mix of technical accounting, cost analysis, and cross functional collaboration in a stable manufacturing environment where accuracy, curiosity, and continuous improvement are valued. Relocation Assistance is available.ResponsibilitiesOwn key components of the month end close, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliationsAnalyze manufacturing cost and inventory variances and translate data into clear insights for leadership and operations partnersMaintain and manage standard costing data, including leading annual cost roll activities and ongoing updatesOversee inventory accounting activities, including physical inventory counts, reconciliations, and variance investigationMaintain fixed asset records, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, and asset trackingReconcile complex balance sheet accounts and proactively identify and resolve issuesSupport budgeting, forecasting, and internal reporting through thoughtful analysis and collaborationPartner with procurement, operations, and plant teams to ensure costs are captured accurately and consistentlyPlay a key role in internal and external audits by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and supporting compliance with GAAP and internal controlsIdentify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and streamline accounting workflowsServe as a go to resource for accounting questions and provide guidance to junior team members as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial settingStrong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory accountingConfidence working in Excel and ERP systems with the ability to analyze and interpret dataA detail-oriented mindset paired with the ability to see the bigger pictureStrong communication skills and comfort working cross functionally with non-finance partnersNice to HaveCPA certification or active pursuit of CPA licensureExperience with Infor or similar manufacturing ERP systemsHands on exposure to standard costing, inventory valuation, or fixed asset accountingExperience working closely with plant or operational teamsLet's Build the Future TogetherAt ERMCO, your ideas matter, your growth is supported, and your impact is real.
