The Monitor Tech also observes screen of cardiac monitor and listens for alarm to identify abnormal variation in heart rhythm. In addition, the Cardiac Monitor Tech will also assist the unit with administrative duties. Monitor Technician, Cardiac Monitor Tech, Telemetry Technician, Telemetry Tech, Tele Tech Requirements: Education: High School Diploma or GED. Completion of an approved Monitor Technician Program. Formal ECG or dysrhythmia class with a minimum of 20 hours’ practicum required Licenses/Certification: BLS required. ACLS preferred. Experience: Recent monitor technician experience required and pass rhythm recognition exam with a minimum passing score of 80% Safety Sensitive-Designated Positions Salary/ Wage Range Compensation for the role will depend onseveralfactors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills,competenciesand experience.
