Job Summary Provides clerical support functions for the patient care unit, including environmental control, revenue reconciliation, inventory management, data entry processing, and troubleshooting issues. Assists in the delivery of direct nursing care as appropriate to meet the needs of the clinical area, unit and/or department, and according to established policies and procedures. Responsibilities Provide administrative support to non-executive employees in a patient care department. Manage and distribute information within the office and clinical reception area. Answer phones, greet visitors and patients, and maintain patient records. Perform clerical tasks such as environmental control, revenue reconciliation, inventory management, and data entry processing. Assist with troubleshooting and resolution of issues. Support direct nursing care as needed. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (no experience substitutions). 0-1 year experience in a clerical support or customer-service role preferred. Computer skills: Microsoft Office proficiency. Strong follow-up and resolution abilities. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. Strong patient/customer-service skills. Ability to learn new software systems and technology skills. Capacity to adjust actions in response to others’ actions.
