Organizes, and staffs the work activities of the laboratory during each shift to provide laboratory services to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Required For 702 Associate's degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science or medical technology from an accredited institution, plus four years experience as a medical technologist/med lab technician. Master's Degree in science Certified as a technical specialist (ASCP) Two years of supervisory and/or management experience in a clinical laboratory. Must submit to color vision acuity test. Color vision acuity is required to safely perform the duties of this position. For 705 Four years experience as a histology technician and have ASCP certification as a histology technician. BS degree in science Certified as a HT or HTL (ASCP) Two years of supervisory and/or management experience in a histology laboratory. Must submit to color vision acuity test. Color vision acuity is required to safely perform the duties of this position. For 696 Bachelor's degree in molecular biology or other related life sciences discipline plus eight years molecular biology bench-on experience; or Master's degree or higher in the same field plus five years molecular biology bench-on experience. ASCP certification as laboratory technologist. Experience in coordinating laboratory work and knowledge of both technical and administrative operations in a full-scale molecular biology laboratory. Master's or PhD Degree in life sciences. Additional certification as molecular biology specialist (NCA), molecular pathologist (ASCP), clinical molecular/biochemical genetics specialist (ABMG), or clinical chemistry/molecular diagnostics specialist (ABCC) is highly desired. Expertise in assay development. Experience in various methods of nucleic acids purification (DNA, RNA). Knowledge of various platforms for real-time PCR (TAQMAN, FRET, etc.). Knowledge of workflow for sequence analysis and/or DNA-fragment analysis. Ability to prioritize required duties and responsibilities, to define problems, to collect data, to establish facts and to draw valid conclusions. Ability to adjust to flexible schedule, varied hours, or work on-call. Must submit to color vision acuity test. Color vision acuity is required to safely perform the duties of this position.
