Job Description

Quality Response Medical Staffing (QRMS) is seeking experienced Psychiatric Nursing Assistants (PNAs) for a 6-month assignment at a state mental health facility in Terrell, Texas , with the possibility of extension.

*** CNA Certification Not Required for this Position ***

Available Shifts

6:45 AM – 3:15 PM
2:45 PM – 11:15 PM
11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Scheduling may include Sunday through Saturday
30-minute unpaid meal break

Responsibilities

Provide direct care to hospitalized psychiatric patients
Assist patients with activities of daily living
Monitor and record vital signs
Monitor patients for safety and respond appropriately to emergencies
Perform computer data entry and documentation
Follow facility policies, procedures, and patient-care standards

Requirements

Previous experience as a psychiatric mental health technician, psychiatric aide, or similar behavioral health position is required
Must be comfortable working in a mental health facility with patients who may have dual diagnoses
Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification
Ability to meet required immunization requirements
Must successfully complete required drug screening and fingerprinting/background requirements
Must complete all required facility training and orientation
Dependable attendance and ability to comply with facility policies
