IRTS/RCS Mental Health Practitioner (MHP)

Position Overview Residential Services, Inc. (RSI) is hiring a full‑time Mental Health Practitioner for the Lotus Grace program in Cambridge, MN. The role is part of a 24/7 Residential Crisis Stabilization (RCS) and Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) team where you will develop and implement treatment plans that help individuals achieve psychiatric stability, personal and emotional adjustment, and independent living and community skills. Schedule 2:00 pm – 10:00 pm, four days per week. 7:00 am – 3:00 pm every other weekend (required). Mandatory weekly team meeting on Mondays at 8:00 am. The first two weeks are on‑the‑job training from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, including six classroom trainings. Salary $24.00 – $25.00 per hour. Encourage consumer empowerment and provide symptom management and relapse prevention skills. Monitor and guide each resident’s activities, considering behavioral, psychiatric, cultural, and vulnerability factors. Provide supervision and training to support residents’ physical and personal needs, including health, grooming, bathing, toileting, eating, and socialization. Apply appropriate supervision and crisis prevention interventions, following agency risk‑management plans and support plans. Administer medications accurately and document per RSI policies. Assist residents with household responsibilities—shopping, meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, budgeting, banking—and transportation to promote independence. Respond to residents’ needs and interests by implementing and assessing services per individualized support plans. Complete thorough and accurate documentation within required time frames. Attend trainings and team meetings as required by RSI policy and licensing. Qualifications Pass a post‑offer background check. Meet at least one of the following conditions: • Minimum 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) in behavioral sciences or related field, plus 2,000 hours of experience with individuals with mental illness, substance use disorder, traumatic brain injury, or developmental disabilities. • Minimum 30 semester hours (or 45 quarter hours) in behavioral sciences or related field, plus completion of a practicum or internship focused on direct interaction with such individuals. • 4,000 hours of experience delivering services to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorder, traumatic brain injury, or developmental disabilities. • 2,000 hours of experience providing services to such individuals and receive treatment supervision at least once per week until acquiring 4,000 hours. • A master’s or other graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related field.
