Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Care/Clinic/Outpatient

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care in an outpatient urology clinic, supporting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to enhance patient outcomes. Collaborates with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered service delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Administer clinical assessments and perform urological procedures such as cystoscopies, urethral dilation, and catheter placements.
• Document patient history, treatment plans, and procedure details accurately in EPIC electronic health records.
• Monitor patient vital signs and provide pre- and post-procedure care, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care to promote understanding and compliance.
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and improve operational workflow.
• Maintain compliance with licensing, certifications, and hospital policies, including BLS and flu vaccination requirements.

Qualifications:

• Must have at least 2 years of ambulatory/outpatient clinic RN experience, with previous urology experience preferred.
• Hold an active California RN license, without pending or expired status.
• Possess current BLS certification and flu vaccination without exemptions or declinations.
• Demonstrate EPIC electronic health record experience and proficiency in specialized urological procedures.
• Be flexible to float across multiple clinic locations and adapt to changing assignments.
• Provide two recent references from supervisory or higher-level roles within the past year.
