Safety Coordinator

Overview Rent the Runway (RTR) is seeking a Safety Coordinator to serve as the designated safety representative of the assigned dream fulfillment center (DFC). You will coordinate and implement RTR’s Safety Program, influence safe work behaviors, and support training and coaching across the site to maintain a safe work environment. A Safety Coordinator is a servant leader who helps associates excel by providing tools, removing obstacles, and upholding RTR safety standards. What You’ll Do Identify and inform management of compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities through daily, weekly, and monthly audits. Lead and participate in investigations involving workplace incidents and fleet safety. Conduct Job Hazard Analyses and assess new equipment introductions; recommend risk mitigation measures including ergonomic considerations. Ensure compliance with the RTR Safety Program and applicable federal and state law. Maintain required paperwork to comply with RTR standards. Facilitate access to immediate aid for associates, visitors, vendors, or guests in need of medical attention. Maintain accurate daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for onsite management reporting. Document safety incident information in RTR’s OSHA 300/300a logs in a timely manner. Perform safety observations and audits. Train and assist operations staff to comply with RTR safety responsibilities; conduct safety training as required. Conduct monthly facility inspections and document findings. Partner with the security team to ensure alignment with safety policies. About You Associates’ degree or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental, Ergonomics or related field required. 1+ year of growing responsibilities in safety and/or environmental programs in manufacturing, production, security, or service operations. Experience maintaining confidentiality in personnel matters. Knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to RTR’s industry. Calm demeanor in emergency situations; flexible regarding shifts. Computer skills relevant to reviewing security footage and creating documents and incident logs. Proficient with Google Suite, Google Sheets, Looker, and Jira. Strong written and verbal communication; bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred. Ability to enforce safety guidelines, cleanliness, and security standards; quick problem-solving with leadership support. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed; First Aid/ AED / CPR certified. Distribution center or manufacturing safety experience at a site with 500+ non-exempt employees is a plus; OSHA Outreach Instructor (OSHA 30/10) is a plus.
