About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Preconstruction to take on a pivotal executive role in leading the estimating and preconstruction operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project pursuits, budgeting, value engineering, risk analysis, and team development. This strategic leadership position requires a professional with a proven track record in commercial construction, including the ability to deliver accurate budgets and successful project strategies. The role involves leading the preconstruction departments, establishing standards and procedures, and collaborating with various stakeholders to support the company's growth and profitability. Applicants for the Vice President of Preconstruction role at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' of commercial construction experience, with at least 7 years' in a leadership capacity within estimating or preconstruction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in leading preconstruction for large and complex commercial projects, as well as a deep understanding of conceptual estimating, GMP development, budgeting, and value engineering. Experience with different project delivery methods and proficiency in estimating software and construction technology are essential. A degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field is preferred. The role also requires strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and client-development skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of industry professionals.
