About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 Year Preferred License: Valid RN License Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred. Travel experience required. Experience with charting system required. Community hospital experience preferred. Experience in LTAC preferred. Experience in Trauma Level I preferred. Experience in Trauma Level II preferred. Description: Cross posting for nights. Option of 36 or 48 hours available. Every other weekend required. Floating is required to like units. BLS certification must be in hand. Patient ratios on days, nights, and weekends are 6. Daily census includes 24 patients. The unit provides interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, and respiratory services. Patient diagnoses include general medical/surgical acute care. No insulin gtt, but heparin gtt is permitted. Minor procedures may be performed on the unit. Special equipment includes respiratory and enhanced droplet precaution PPE, bladder scanner, and Plum integrated smart IV pump. LOS is typically shorter as it may be used for clinical decision purposes.
