Security Officer

Provide security at district sporting and after school events on campus. General purpose: To provide security and safety of the student body, faculty, staff, and visitors and maintain a positive and safe campus atmosphere at assigned school-sponsored events. Essential functions include maintaining a positive presence at athletic events and after school programs, developing positive relationships with community members, monitoring crowds at athletic and after school events on the campus, escorting officials off the fields/gymnasium after events, maintaining order in the hallways of the school buildings during athletic and after school events, remaining on site of athletic events until visiting team has departed the campus, ensuring that building doors are locked during events and no doors are "propped open" during events, remaining on site at the building assigned until all program visitors have departed, and addressing issues appropriately with audience members at all events. Maintain communication with district athletic director, security director, and building administrators as needed.
